We had our first doctor's appointment on Friday the 13th August 2010 (talk about a date to have it!). Grandma Jean came, because at first Chris didn't think he would be able to make the appointment, and I didn't want to go on my own. I remember waking up and desperately needing to pee, but I knew that if I did I wouldn't be able to provide a specimen for the doctor as my appointment was less than an hour away. So I held it in, only for my appointment to be delayed by more than half an hour. I can't tell you how close I came to giving the doctor more than a surprise.

The doctor worked out my dates and proclaimed that I am seven weeks pregnant and you are due on the 6th April 2011. I know that this is wrong, and your scan will clear the dates up, and I'm pretty sure that you will be due towards the end of April instead. Good chance you could pop out on Aunty Claire's birthday (26th April) or Aunty Karen's birthday (3rd May), but we shall see. Next appointment is on the 27th August and that one is with the midwife. Apparently Chris and Aunty Paige are coming to that one. New update after then!
